Lexus' LS 600h L hybrid is a paradoxical marvel: a green machine with extreme power and a lofty price. The hybrid system in the 2008 Lexus LS 600h delivers good fuel economy and an excellent emissions rating for this size of car.

People just loved its classy feature with all the tech we could ask for, both under the hood and in the cabin. Its hybrid system gives better environmental package.

2008 Jaguar S-type

http://www.automobilemag.com/future_cars/2008/0609_2008_jaguar_s_type/photo_01.html

Got familiar with the latest version Jaguar S-type? Jaguar is dumping retro design for the new S-type in exchange for a contemporary feel inside and out. Its exterior design does shows shades of the '60's Jaguar saloons. Given the car's distinctive style and balanced approach to comfort and performance, the S-Type should prove to be a respectable purchase as a midsize luxury sedan.

What's the best car for 2008? For me, it's the Audi R8. R8 is a car that you can enjoy every day. With its mid-mounted 420 horsepower engine, all-wheel-drive and supermodel looks, the R8 qualifies as a natural born supercar.

Cancelled outing for car tuning

Just this morning my dad waked me up to ask for a favor. Hhmm..at first it sounds too risky on my part. Me and my friends got planned for an adventure today with their girls. Well, as usual I hurried up from bed to call them as early as I could. I told them I wasn't able to come, maybe next time. Thank God they were so understanding.

Hhmm...well, my dad asked me to help him tuning up his car! Oh my!! I'm not a typical mechanical person.. so why me? I suddenly insisted that I'm busy with my projects and I can't help him through it. Well, my dad is too persistent. He insisted with commanding voices. Oh such a horrible day! After breakfast I headed up to my computer and got googled on the web for car tuning-up tips. Hope you'll enjoy reading my blog since the real whole plan of mine is to blog about the adventure with my friends. Perhaps by next time I would!

Here's the tips I got from ehow.com, enjoy reading:

1. Replace the fuel filter. If you have a fuel-injection system, regular cleaning isn't necessary unless the injectors are clogged.
2. Change the spark plugs (unless they're platinum, in which case you have 30,000 more miles to go). Also examine the spark plug wires and replace as needed. A new set of high-quality wires is worth the cost. They may be permanently attached to the distributor cap, so it will have to be changed as well.
3. Replace the distributor cap and rotor if your car has them (some newer models with distributorless ignition don't).
4. Change the points and condenser if you have an older car (roughly 1978 or older) that doesn't feature electronic ignition. You'll actually want your points changed, or at least adjusted, every six months or so (if they're changed, check the ignition timing as well).
5. Check the ignition timing and adjust as needed (rare for a car with electronic ignition--post-1980--and some cars don't allow this at all).
6. Adjust the valves as needed (unless your car has hydraulic valves). Be sure to replace the valve-cover gasket as well, especially if you see oil on top of your engine.
7. Check the belts. Replace if worn.
8. Check the fluids under the hood and replenish as necessary. Change the oil and oil filter if it's been 3,000 miles since the last oil change.
9. Replace the air filter, which should be changed between major services--every 15,000 miles--as well.
10. Adjust the clutch, if you have a manual transmission (although some cars now sport self-adjusting clutches).
11. Service the battery, adding distilled water (if required), cleaning terminals and cable ends.
12. Replace the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve. It can make your car run rough or stall if it gets clogged, and it's cheap and easy to replace.
